Toxic – Black and White Silver Gelatin Print

“Toxic” This is a fine art black and white silver gelatin print, limited to only ten. It was taken by fine art photographer Keith Moss on a recent trip to Barcelona which is one of his favourite European cities.  Taken while taking a stroll up a side street off Barcelona’s famous La Ramblas, Keith spotted this collection of ripped posters which had been pasted onto an old wooden door, it captured his imagination and he liked the different textures. It was shot on a 1954 Rolliflex twin lens camera which was bought for him for his 50th birthday.  Keith loves this camera as he says he has to really think when using it and can completely loose himself in the moment when capturing his images. He used Ilford delta 400 iso film for this shot.

The gelatin silver process is the photographic process used with black and white films and printing papers. A suspension of silver salts in gelatin is coated onto a support such as glass, flexible plastic or film, baryta paper, or resin-coated paper.
