Two days with Laura Ashley

Laura Ashley is a luxury British brand renowned for designing stylish, innovative and superb quality home furnishings and fashion. Laura and Bernard Ashley started printing fabric on their kitchen table in London in 1953. Laura was inspired to make her own patchwork quilts, but couldn’t find any suitable fabrics in the shops, so, along with her partner Bernard began producing their own.

58 Years later the Laura Ashley empire is still growing and expanding their products and services. Laura Ashley now offers a design service where clients have a consultation regarding their interior requirements. One of the designers then picks out colour scheme, fabrics, furniture and decor to complement the clients home.

Team Moss were hired for a two day shoot to capture the design teams work within a client’s home. There were six rooms to photograph in total. Above is one of the images shot for the Laura Ashley website.

Day two was an extremely early start as the team were heading to the Laura Ashley design studio in Edinburgh for the day. The job was to photograph the new studio, a client focused area where designers find inspiration to get to work on clients homes. The images are to be used on the Laura Ashley Design studio site as well as in catalogues and literature
