Huddersfield is a great Yorkshire town, well-known for the friendliness of its people, exciting festivals and impressive architecture. It’s one of the largest towns in the UK and offers all the sporting, cultural, shopping and social amenities you’d expect from a major regional centre. Plus you’ve got some of Britain’s most beautiful countryside on your doorstep.

The town has many stunning examples of Victorian architecture, including the famous railway station in St George’s Square. In fact, it has the third highest number of listed buildings of any town or city in the UK. The most conspicuous landmark in the Huddersfield area is Victoria Tower on Castle Hill, a stunning backdrop to the University’s campus. The cost of living in Huddersfield is reasonable too. The town was ranked seventh in a league table of UK “towns with a wealthy lifestyle on the cheap”, compiled by the Royal Bank of Scotland. Not only that, as Huddersfield is situated on the M62 corridor with a mainline railway, you’ll have easy access to the cities of Leeds and Manchester with their exciting music venues, cultural centres and shopping opportunities.
