My Views on Fashion / My Roles as Set / Fashion Stylist for Keith Moss Photography.

My roles at Keith Moss Photography vary so much which is why I love what I do. One day I can be in a meeting discussing inspiration boards regarding the visual concept of a Fashion shoot, the next day I might be updating the website, sourcing models, calling potential clients, sourcing props and clothes for our next Fashion shoot. The role as a Stylist exercises every part of my mind and there is never a dull day. The majority of our Fashion clients include On Line Retailers, Fashion Designers, Catalogue Companies and independent boutiques.

Fashion for me was not and never has been “Being on trend” looking like a Topshops latest window display is not something that interests me, for myself or anyone I style. Don’t get me wrong, the high street is amazing for taking catwalk looks and making them affordable, the mistake I think people can make is feeling as though they have to go out and purchase the “Latest trend” Style to me is about comfort and confidence. A lot of people will not agree with me, I know this but I love to see people comfortable in what they are wearing. I believe you are Fashion not Fashion is you. You decide your Fashion to suit how you feel, if you want to wear a retro Adidas vest with a tailored oversized jacket, a pair of pink tights and high heels do it!! If you want to wear your Dads painting and decorating Tee-shirt with some baggy Levis do it!! Don’t always let the shops and the style magazines dictate to you what you have to be wearing this season to be “Fashionable “ – make it up yourself! You can take key pieces, mix them up with vintage looks, clash last season’s must have with this. Fashion should be, inspiring, interesting, creative and fun! So don’t restrict yourself.

I am lucky that I met Keith and he gave me the opportunity to work with not only an exceptionally talented photographer but also the great team he has built around him. All the team make each day a brilliant experience. Being in a creative environment is the most fulfilling role I have ever been in and I love everyday of it.
