Tip of the Week. ISO Film speed
ISO relates to the speed of a film, for example if you are using a 50 ISO Film you would need a lot of light because the speed of the film is slow.
If you are using a 1600/3200 ISO film you would expect to be in a situation with low light as the film speed is fast.
The same rule applys to digital cameras, so for example, on a sunny day, with a lot of natural light, you can set your camera to 100 ISO, If you are inside and the light is quite dull you should set your camera to 3200ISO

Above, I Phone Picture of final Darkroom Print
It’s not that often Team Moss has a spare day with nothing booked in. This week due to a few re arraigned shoots Tuesday became just that – a free day. Now, this day could have been spent contacting perspective clients, updating the, arraigning the new Flickr images into sets, adding contacts to the database and insuring all details were current and up to date…………….all these ideas were discussed at half past 8 over a coffee and a bowl of cereal. The decision on how to spend the free day was handed over to...

Its so easy to get wrapped up in the technicalities behind photography, so often when im teaching people come with pre conceived ideas about what makes a perfect image.
I take people back to the start of the journey, what are their interests, their passions, what excites them, from here I send them away to focus only on taking pictures of things they love, make mistakes, don’t think about settings, just take pictures that make you happy
When they come back to me and explain what they wanted to take, how they saw it, what they wanted to capture, then I start the training because I know...

I’ll start by quoting our client, Paul Bell from Better Brand Agency an hour into the shoot for MPI….
“Is Keith always so calm”?
I wanted to say,
“Yes, always Paul”
However, rewind the clock an hour and 20 minutes when Team Moss were stuck in a huge traffic jam due to a protest taking place at the Wilton site, Keith was anything but calm. If there is one thing that makes Keith scream like a girl, it’s a big traffic jam and the possibility of not arriving to our shoot half an hour before the start time.
Shortly after Paul arrived to meet us we were inducted by the on-board...

Keith and I were there to document this, there was also the possibility of some extremely good news which may be announced later in the afternoon…..what the news was….we had no idea and it didn’t look likely we would be informed until it happened.
After a lovely buffet lunch we were informed that the...

Keith and Pat were looking forward to a nice weekend after Keith had been struck down with flu the week before, this was until the phone rang on Friday lunch time. Despite been advised to rest……..Keith was in there with a “Yeah, count me in, I’ll be there) which means both Mosses were up with no lay in (again).
As it was an early start Pat decided Keith should treat her to breakfast, so the sausages were ordered and Pat had chance to air her frustrations at...

I’d booked us into a nice hotel in the city so we could have a nice meal and chill out, how wrong was I… We got stuck on the A38, engines off, sat staring into space.
