Black and white Silver Gelatin open edition Print of Teesport, Teesside. Taken on my trusty Leica M9 +35mm F2 lens. I took this image whilst on the ship MPI Resolution docked at Teesport using my Leica M9 with a Carl Zeiss 25mm lens. I was on the roof of the bridge at the time and could not resist taking this view of Teesport.

The gelatin silver process is the photographic process used with black and white films and printing papers. A suspension of silver salts in gelatin is coated onto a support such as glass, flexible plastic or film, baryta paper, or resin-coated paper.

 

Teesport is a large sea port located in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire in North-East of England. Owned by PD Ports, it is one of the United Kingdom’s three largest ports^[1] and lies 3 miles (4.8 km) to the east of Middlesbrough. The port covers an area of 200 hectares (490 acres) of land alongside the southern bank of the River Tees. At its heart is Tees Dock, a deep-water facility some 5 miles (8.0 km) from the sea. Teesport is associated with the handling of steel, petrochemical, manufacturing, engineering and retail items amongst others.
